NYC Tech Toastmasters is a chapter of Toastmasters International, a global nonprofit dedicated to developing public speaking and leadership skills. We offer a supportive environment where members practice speeches, impromptu speaking, and leadership through peer feedback and structured mentoring. Join us to grow your skills and expand your network.
You don't have to work in tech to join. While we're called Tech Toastmasters, our club is open to everyone. All backgrounds, professions, and experience levels are welcome.
Come to a Meeting
We meet the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month at Solas Bar (232 E 9th St). Come at 6:30 PM for a half hour of networking, then the meeting runs from 7 to 8 PM. Guests are always welcome and no experience is needed. Just sign up on Eventbrite, linked below.

Do I need to work in tech?
No. Although we're called NYC Tech Toastmasters, you don't need to work in tech or have any tech background to join. Our meetings are open to everyone who wants to build their public speaking and leadership skills, whatever their profession.
Do I have to speak?
No. You're welcome to come, watch, and listen for as long as you like. You only speak when you feel ready, and there's never any pressure to participate before then.
How do I join?
Come visit us as a guest first. It's free and there's no obligation. When you're ready to join, let any officer know or email us and we'll walk you through membership. New members receive a starter kit and pathway to begin their speaking journey right away.
Do I need experience?
Not at all. Members join at every level, from first-time speakers to seasoned presenters. You'll progress at your own pace in a supportive, encouraging environment.
